The Villa was built as the first privately owned health care facility in 1900 and functioned that way until 1925 when it became a boarding facility. Over the decades it has also been a lodge, art studio, and private residences. Off street parking for motor vehicles, and private entrance is convenient for our guests. The villa has beautiful ornate molded ceilings, stained glass in two entrance areas, and extensive native Kauri wood doors, fireplace surrounds, and panelling. The guest lounge has a beautiful marble fireplace. Bay windows with window seats are featured in the Pukeko bedroom. Enclosed windowed verandas have been converted to en-suites. Total 3 bedrooms: 2 in the B&B and 1 in the detached unit. Total of 7 guests. European/continental style breakfast available. Guests are welcome to enjoy the spacious outdoor deck in the back yard or sit on a wooden pew at the front deck area. East entrance to the Geraldine domain is just 3 minutes away.
